HOW TO CARE FOR ORGANIC COTTON GARMENTS

Caring for your garments to extend their life is one of the most sustainable things you can do. Putting your organic cotton garment straight into a top loader washing machine with a strong detergent is not a good idea to achieve this. Therefore we have come up with some easy tips on how to care for your garments.

  • Gentle machine wash or cold hand wash garments. If I machine wash my garments in a front loader it is more gentle, and I always use a low spin speed.

  • To dry, gently shake out the garment and hang it on a padded hanger in the shade - this will minimise the need for ironing your garment later.

  • Use a mild detergent - we use Earth Choice, a liquid detergent that uses plant based ingredients

  • Avoid using a dryer (unless you are ok to shrink your garment a little).

If you follow these tips you will significantly extend the life of your garment :) If you would like more information feel free to contact us.
